to save a heritage home from demolition caused them to spend two and a
half years at hard labour and resulted in them opening Harbour's
Edge Bed and Breakfast in May of 1997.

their other lives, Gil a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer with 35 years service, and
Esther a Town Councillor, are both very community-minded. Married
for 35 years, they have 3 children & 2 grandchildren. Originally from Nova Scotia, they
had resided in New Brunswick and the Arctic for 10 years before moving
back to their home Province. Gil and Esther are five time recipients of
the Mayflower Award.
